After some disappointing news on Thursday, when three-star wide receiver Carnell Warren announced he was decommitting from Virginia Tech, the Hokies landed good news on Friday and Saturday.
First, on Friday, 2026 edge rusher Kamren Johnson (Virginia Beach) announced he planned to be a Hokie. Three-star defensive lineman Kamdon Gillespie joined Johnson in Tech’s 2026 class on Saturday.

Gillespie is a 6-foot-3, 245-pound prospect from Mooresville High in Mooresville, North Carolina.
