The Virginia Tech Hokies landed a big commitment on Saturday when four-star cornerback Cam Johnson pledged to the Hokies.
The Baltimore, Maryland native chose Virginia Tech over a final seven that included Maryland, Boston College, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Penn State. Essentially, this was a two-team battle between the Hokies and Boston College.
The 6-foot-0, 165-pound corner has the skill set to be an outstanding corner at the next level. Of course, Johnson is going to need to add strength, which shouldn’t be an issue once he gets to Blacksburg.
The great thing about Johnson is there is no debating if he will play corner or safety.
