The Hokies had a week off to prepare for tonight’s road contest against the Hurricanes, but wore down in the second half and lost 74-68. Virginia Tech actually had the lead for over 12 minutes of the first half, but a late 9-0 Miami run allowed the Hurricanes to take a 40-34 lead into the break. After the Hokies were able to tie it up at 47, Miami then made a 15-2 run to take a lead they would not relinquish.
One of the reasons the Hokies have not been a good road team is due to their lack of good perimeter shooting.
