The No. 16 Virginia Tech Hokies bounced back on Saturday with an 84-46 blowout win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The Hokies improved to 15-5 on the season, with a 9-4 mark in ACC play.
This was an important game for head coach Mike Young and his team after this week’s loss to Georgia Tech. The Hokies were inactive for 17 days due to COVID-19 and looked like it in an uninspiring double-digit loss to the Yellow Jackets.
The Hokies were red-hot in the win over Wake, shooting 53% from the field. Tech was even more impressive from beyond the arc, making 13 of 24 attempts from behind the 3-point line.
