The No. 15 Virginia Tech Hokies improved to 7-1 on the season on Wednesday night with an 89-68 win over the VMI Keydets in Blacksburg.
This game was surprisingly close midway through the first half when the Hokies opened up a 13-0 run and never looked back. Suddenly, a four-point game turns into a 17-point lead just before the under-eight timeout in the first half. The Hokies would go on to take 42-21 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Tech would turn up the pressure even more, leading by as many as 37 points at one time en route to the easy win.
