Virginia Tech baseball stays hot with a win over Wake Forest

The Virginia Tech Hokies won their fifth game in a row on Saturday with a 16-4 win over Wake Forest in Winston-Salem. The victory is the fifth straight for Virginia Tech.

The Demon Deacons actually jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after a first-inning score.

Both teams would be quiet until the Hokies went off in the fifth inning, scoring seven runs to take an 8-1 lead. Sophomore third baseman Kevin Madden and freshman first baseman TJ Rumfield each homered in the inning for the Hokies.

Tech would come out in the top of the sixth inning and plate four more runs, to make it a 12-1 game.
