The Virginia Tech Hokies defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 10-9, on Sunday in Winston-Salem to sweep the series.
The win moves Virginia Tech to 19-9 on the season, including a 14-7 mark in ACC play.
It was another strong offensive output for the Hokies who crushed three home runs in the win. Second baseman Nick Biddison, left fielder Tanner Thomas and shortstop Tanner Schobel all went deep for the Hokies. Virginia Tech hit 10 home runs in the the three-game series.
Tech jumped on the Demon Deacons early, scoring two runs in the first. The Deacs would tie it in the second inning until the Hokies scored three more in the top of the fourth inning, three in the fifth and two in the sixth to give them an insurmountable lead.
