The Virginia Tech Hokies entered last weekend’s series at Duke in a good place. The Hokies sat at 27-17 on the season with a 16-14 mark in ACC play with six games left to play in the regular season.
Unfortunately for Tech, it suffered through the worst stretch of the season, and Blue Devils swept the Hokies.
The Hokies lost the first game 11-6, but the final two games were close. Sadly for Virginia Tech, its bats went cold in the final two games, scoring a total of two runs. The good news for the Hokies was their pitching staff.
