BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech and the University of Arizona announced Wednesday that the Hokies and Wildcats have agreed to a two-game, home-and-home football series.
The inaugural meeting between the two programs will take place in Tucson, Arizona, on Sept. 8, 2029, with a return trip by Arizona to Lane Stadium scheduled for Aug. 30, 2030. Tech most recently played a Pac-12 foe when it faced UCLA in the 2013 Sun Bowl.
“Even though this series is 13 years away, we felt it was a unique opportunity to schedule a Pac-12 team home and home,” Tech Director of Athletics Whit Babcock said.
