The Hokies are in Chapel Hill, NC for a road A.C.C. contest today. The first half was a soggy affair, with Hurricane Matthew making its grand exit from the Carolinas. North Carolina won the toss, and deferred. The Hokies had a quick three and out, and UNC put together a drive, but failed to convert a fourth and one. Greg Stroman picked off Mitch Trubisky to put the Hokies in the Carolina red zone. Virginia Tech was stymied, and Joey Slye put the Hokies on the board to take a 3-0 lead. The 35 yard FG was close, but sneaked through.
