Virginia Tech fell to the in-state rival Cavaliers in hoops action Tuesday night in Charlottesville. Virginia entered the game ranked #7, and is eyeing a deep N.C.A.A. run. Tech entered the contest with a 13-11 record, having stopped a 5 game skid against Clemson on Saturday. Virginia Tech upset Virginia at the Cassell earlier this year, but John Paul Jones Arena was too tough for the Hokies to tame. U.V.A. held the Hokies to 20 first half points, and held a 12 point advantage into the break.
