The Virginia Tech football team opens the 2025 season against two tough SEC teams, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. Yes, you read the right, Vanderbilt is considered a tough game with quarterback Diego Pavia, who ran roughshod on the Hokies last season in Nashville.
Virginia Tech gets its first four games as non-conference games again this season and will host Old Dominion and Wofford after hosting the Commodores in Week 2. After that, the Hokies will begin an eight-game ACC slate to close out the season, and they are going to be facing signal callers who are, well, slightly overrated.
