BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech used a balanced offensive attack and capitalized on its chances at the free-throw line to pull away from the Boston College Eagles Sunday afternoon inside Cassell Coliseum.
The result moves the Hokies’ record to 12-3 (1-1), while the Eagles fell to 5-9 (0-1).
After a tight first quarter where the Hokies held a 3-point lead, the Hokies used a 13-0 run in the second frame to take control – and never looked back. Chanette Hicks, Rachel Camp and Aisha Sheppard all scored field goals during the run.
