Coaching situation: An unfamiliar sight awaits Virginia Tech fans at this year's spring game, as for the first time since 1986 Frank Beamer will not be coaching the Hokies. Beamer retired after Virginia Tech struggled for a fourth consecutive season, something that hadn't happened since the early part of his career.
