The Virginia Tech Hokies would not be where they are at without Seth Allen. Plain and Simple.
The redshirt-senior guard out of Woodbridge, Virginia was named the ACC’s Sixth Man of the Year on Sunday afternoon in a runaway, garnering 43 first place votes. The second closest to Allen was Georgia Tech’s Tadric Jackson, who received four first place votes.
Allen has played the role as the closer in a number of close contests for the Hokies this season, who at 21-9 on the season and 10-8 in the ACC appear primed for their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007.
