Hokies open series with 7-0 setback in Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Pittsburgh Panthers scored runs in their final four at-bats and turned a one-run lead into a 7-0 victory over the visiting Virginia Tech Hokies in ACC action Thursday night at Charles L. Cost Field.
Pittsburgh (19-31, 8-20 ACC) drew six walks off Tech starter Sean Keselica and managed to plate four of them. Jacob Wright drew three of those and crossed the plate in the first – on an Alex Kowalczyk sac fly; the fifth – on a wild pitch; and in the sixth – on RBI single by Boo Vazquez.
