BLACKSBURG- Vanessa Panousis has signed a contract to begin her professional career with the Adelaide Lightning in her native Australia. The Lightning are based out of Adelaide, South Australia and compete in the Women’s National Basketball League.
“I can’t wait to be able to play in my home country again and play in such a competitive league,” Panousis said. “Virginia Tech has definitely helped me get to this point today, being in such an athletic league and playing against the best has prepared me for my professional career.”
Panousis played four years for the Hokies competing in 127 career games.
