BLACKSBURG – In his first three at-bats of the night, Nick Owens registered five RBI for the Orange team to helped his side to a decisive 10-2 victory in Game 2 of the Orange & Maroon World Series Monday night at English Field at Union Park. With the win, it sets up a winner-take-all Game 3 Friday evening.
In the top of the first, Owens notched his first RBI with a groundball to second, but his two-out, two-RBI single in the second put the Orange team ahead 5-0. In the third, it was another two-out, two-RBI single that ballooned his team’s lead to 8-0.
