GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the indoor track & field all-conference academic team, featuring nine members of Virginia Tech's squad as announced on Wednesday.
The men’s team collected seven honors, highlighted by five-time all-American Thomas Curtin. All-American honorable mention Torben Laidig was named to the academic squad for the second time while Curtin earned it for the first. Laidig is the current Virginia Tech and ACC record holder in the indoor pole vault. Darren Barlow and James Steck also garnered their second honor on Wednesday.
