NCAA expected to end recruiting dead period on June 1

After being in place for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NCAA is expected to lift the recruiting dead period later this week, per Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports. The dead period would be lifted, effective June 1.

“Everything I’m hearing, we’re headed toward June 1,” a source told Dodd.

The 2021 recruiting class will go down as one of the more unique in history. So many players committed to schools without ever stepping foot on campus. It’s been a difficult time for the players and the schools. Coaches had to rely on previous year’s film.
