N.C. State temporarily pauses athletic activities due to COVID-19

As the new college football season rapidly approaches, cautious optimism remains we will have football beginning in September. However, an apparent outbreak of COVID-19 at one ACC school has caused school officials to pause all athletic-related activities.

NC State has temporarily paused all athletic-related activities due to an identified cluster within its programs, school says.

The Hokies open the season against North Carolina State on Sept. 12, less than three weeks away.

As we witnessed with the University of North Carolina last week, these outbreaks are going to continue to be an issue as schools open their campuses to the entire student body.
