Maddy accepts invite to 2016 East-West Shrine Game

With it, he continues a string of four straight years with a Hokie representative

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Virginia Tech redshirt-senior Luther Maddy has accepted his invitation to participate in the 2016 East-West Shrine Game as announced by the organization this morning.

Maddy will represent the Hokies, who have now sent at least one player to the event for four straight seasons. Last year, Detrick Bonner was named a captain for the game, while Derrick Hopkins played in the 2014 game and Marcus Davis and Corey Fuller were in the 2013 contest.

The Delray Beach, Florida, product started all 12 games for Tech this season and was named a first team All-ACC defensive tackle by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association on Monday.
