Kristi Castlin Advances at the Rio Olympic Games

The 100-meter hurdles semifinal round is set for Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.

BLACKSBURG – Former Virginia Tech standout Kristi Castlin posted the second-fastest time of the morning to advance to the semifinal round of the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeirio, Brazil.

The Douglasville, Georgia, native clocked a time of 12.68 seconds, winning the event’s first preliminary heat of the day. USA teammate and former Clemson standout Brianna Rollins also posted a winning time (12.54) in heat six to capture the fastest time of the day.
