After seeing how well basketball coach Buzz Williams did when he went door to door to thank season-ticket holders last year, the marketing department decided to do the same on the football side.
Receiver Isaiah Ford and running back Travon McMillian joined the HokieBird mascot on Tuesday night as they surprised randomly selected local season-ticket holders who renewed right away for the 2016 season. In all, 12 were selected. Ford and McMillian visited six of them.
