On Wednesday, Adonis Alexander and Houshun Gaines learned their legal fate. The two were ordered to perform 24 hours of community service, and face 12 months of probation. The punishment stems from a marijuana possession charge in April. The pair are currently suspended indefinitely from the football program, and it will be interesting to see how first year coach, Justin Fuente, handles the discipline. Since arriving in Blacksburg, Fuente has been working at breakneck speed with recruiting, public appearances, and media requests. The Alexander/Gaines arrests was just about the only negative news coming from the program, and Fuente has a real opportunity to set a precedent here.
