Joey Slye is a Gobbler Country favorite. I know we aren't supposed to say that, but Slye is the kind of player we just adore. If you have ever kicked it (sorry) around Gobbler Country on gameday, you know we have a favorite saying. "Joey hates footballs." He kicked them unmercifully. Our twitter feed isn't complete every Saturday without a "JHF" mention. We aren't the only ones who have noticed Joey's great play. On Thursday, Slye was named to the Lou Groza Award watch list. The award is handed out every year for the best kicker in all the land.
