Since the Transfer Portal opened, new Virginia Tech football coach James Franklin has been very aggressive on both sides of the ball, making some additions. Offensively, the Hokies have a big need for a couple of quarterbacks, and they secured one on Saturday afternoon when North Carolina transfer Bryce Baker committed to Virginia Tech.
Another QB is needed, and despite no official announcement yet, the Hokies are reportedly going to get former Penn State quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer. Until it's official, it's Baker, Tech true freshman A.J. Brand, and Kelden Ryan, along with Class of 2026 incoming freshman Troy Huhn.
