On late Monday afternoon, news broke that James Franklin was going to become the next head football coach at Virginia Tech. It was one of the worst-kept secrets for the last couple of weeks, which was really gaining steam in the last seven days.
Franklin is scheduled to be formally introduced on Wednesday morning at Cassell Coliseum at 10 a.m. He will have a busy day ahead of him in Blacksburg that will end with the Hokies men's basketball game at night against Bryant.
Soon after it was official that Franklin was going to take over for his former defensive coordinator, Brent Pry, he went to work on recruiting, which has been one of his strong points as a head coach.
