We’ve heard the rumors for over a month now. The 2025-26 Virginia Tech Hokies’ men’s basketball team could land a difference-making recruit. Neoklis “Neo” Avdalas, a 6-foot-8 forward/guard from Athens, Greece, visited Blacksburg in May.
Last week, it was reported that Avdalas had committed to Virginia Tech — if he removed his name from the 2025 NBA draft. On Monday, Avdalas removed his name, and the Hokies revealed he’d signed with them.
