During his recruiting process in high school, Kenny Minchey drew a lot of interest from some of the top programs in the country. A four-star, the Hendersonville, Tennessee native picked up several offers, including Virginia Tech.
That offer was extended in May of 2021, but he ended up committing to Pittsburgh. He flipped his commitment to Notre Dame and nearly beat out CJ Carr for the starting position this year as a junior. Notre Dame was snubbed from the College Football Playoff and declined to play in a bowl game this year, thus ending the Irish's season.
