Entering the season, the heat was on Brent Pry as head coach of the Virginia Tech football team. To compound matters for the fourth-year boss, the schedule to begin the season wasn't easy with 13th-ranked South Carolina in Atlanta last weekend, then an up-and-coming Vanderbilt team in their home opener on Saturday night.
It was about as much of a must-win as there is for a Week 2, and despite leading 20-10 going into halftime, it wasn't as pretty as you would think. Halftime adjustments were going to be key against the Commodores and quarterback Diego Pavia. Sadly, there were no adjustments, and the only adjustments came from the visitors' sideline.
