BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech baseball team used a 10-run sixth inning to turn a one-run lead into an 11-0 advantage and Nick Anderson held No. 1 Florida State to just five hits and no runs over eight frames as the Hokies won the ACC series over the Seminoles with a 17-0 victory at English Field at Union Park on Sunday.
The series win is the third for the Hokies over Florida State since 2010 and is Tech’s 11th overall series win over a ranked opponent as a member of the ACC.
