Fresh off of the 37-16 shellacking of the Miami Hurricanes last Thursday night in Blacksburg, the newly ranked #25 Virginia Tech Hokies were very well-recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference, as they announced their Players of the Week on Monday for this past weekend’s games.
In fact, the team was so well-recognized, that they ended up sweeping the defensive awards after their valiant performance against the Hurricanes.
Hokies senior defensive tackle Woody Baron was honored as the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week. The Nashville, Tennessee native was credited with a 2.5 of the team’s eight sacks, as well as 4.
