BLACKSBURG – With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning, Virginia Tech’s Jack Owens singled through the left side scoring Mac Caples to give the Hokies a 4-3 walk-off win over visiting Boston College on Sunday afternoon in ACC action at English Field at Union Park.
With the win, Tech (17-13, 6-6 ACC) swept the series against Boston College for the fourth straight time in Blacksburg – as the Hokies have won 12 straight over the Eagles at home. It also evened the team’s record in the ACC after 12 games – tying for the second-best start ever to a conference season for Tech.
