BLACKSBURG – After trailing for much of the game, the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team rallied, outscoring Georgetown 22-10 in the final quarter to defeat the Hoyas 73-63 at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia.
“It was a great win and I’m very proud of our kids,” head coach Kenny Brooks said. “They showed me something today. I said it earlier that every game I’m going to learn something about them and they’re going to learn something about me and today I felt like we were a tough basketball team. They gutted it out, showed a lot of grit and determination.
