Hokies hold off UCF, 67-64

ORLANDO – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team dropped in 10 3-pointers on Saturday afternoon to defeat UCF 67-64 on the road at CFE Arena in Orlando, Florida.

Virginia Tech improved to 4-0 on the season while handing the Knights (3-1) their first loss. Sidney Cook led the Hokies with 17 points and nine rebounds. Chanette Hicks tallied 15 points and dished out five assists. Kendyl Brooks rounded out the double-digit scoring with 11 points on 4-of-9 from the field including 3-of-6 from outside.

“It was a fun game,” said head coach Kenny Brooks.
