Hokies fall to No. 17/17 NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team fell 85-71 to No. 17/17 NC State on Sunday afternoon in ACC action at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Vanessa Panousis led the Hokies (16-9, 3-9 ACC) with 20 points on 4-of-7 from outside the arc. Sidney Cook added 18 points and six rebounds while Regan Magarity tallied 11 points and eight rebounds.

“NC State was better than us today,” said head coach Kenny Brooks. “We came out pretty well early in the game, but we had a rough offensive quarter in the second and let NC State get easy baskets on us.
