Hokies fall in slugfest with William & Mary

Saige Jenco with career-high tying four hits adds three RBIs in 12-8 loss

BLACKSBURG – Entering the sixth frame, the Virginia Tech baseball team was tied with its in-state visitors William & Mary at 2-2. The game quickly turned into a slugfest with the Tribe outpacing the Hokies the rest of the way and picking up the 12-8 victory at English Field at Union Park in nonconference action on Tuesday night.

Saige Jenco, who tied a career-high with a four-hit evening, put Tech up in the bottom of the sixth, 6-5, capping a four-run frame with a two-RBI single that plated Matt Dauby and Joe Freiday, Jr.
