Due to COVID-19 the Hokies’ ACC Women’s Soccer schedule was limited to just 12 matches. The team got off to a rough start opening the season with five straight losses. But a 2-0 win at home over a ranked Pittsburgh side propelled the team on a 5-2 record to close out the year, including a historic 8-2 victory over Miami in Blacksburg.
The 3-0 win over Boston College on the last day of the regular season clinched the final spot in the ACC Tournament for the Hokies. VT now face the tall task of a quarterfinal round match-up against UNC, who went a perfect 9-0 this season.
