Hokies Defeat UMES 75-59

Virginia Tech looked absolutely dominant in the first half, leading 38-16 after the first period. However, UMES used a 24-9 run to give the Hokies a scare about halfway through the second. The Hokies then got out of their offensive funk, needing a couple of and-ones from LeDay and threes from Hill and Bibbs to get the lead back to 15 and regain control of the game.

The Hokies really struggled defending the three ball in the second half, specifically from Ryan Andino. The UMES sniper hit seven of his thirteen attempts as he led the Hawks in scoring with 23 points.
