CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Virginia Tech track & field team’s sprinters competed at the Charlotte Invite at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center, collecting numerous personal best times in addition to two top-finishes.
The 4x100-meter relay of Ama-Selina Tchume, Courtney Blanden, Shanel Burr, and Adeyeni Aromolaran led off the day for the Hokies with a first place finish out of six teams in the event.
Burr’s success continued as she placed second in the 100-meter hurdles in 13.81 while Jada Gundran placed sixth. On the men’s side, Aaron Simpson set a new personal record in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing sixth in 14.
