The Virginia Tech Hokie Baseball team is still slightly above .500 with only a few weeks to go in the season. There are lots of games packed into that stretch so they have to keep up the momentum or they could slide below the break even point. Every game is important to this team at this point.
There have been some flashes of where the Hokies could be in the next few seasons under Coach Szefc. We lost the Georgia Tech (#11) series 2-1, but we opened it with a statement 3-2 pitchers’ duel win. The 2nd and 3rd games were crammed into a double header due to the putrid Friday and Saturday weather in Blacksburg.
