Women’s Soccer
VT went undefeated in the preseason (4-0), beating Loyola (2-0), Richmond (2-0), Liberty (3-0), and William & Mary (1-0). The actual season started last night when the Hokies hosted blasted Elon at Thompson Field, winning 7-1! Last year the ladies of VT finished the season 8-9. This year the Hokies hope to recapture a 2019 performance that earned them a berth in the NCAA Championship Tournament. Next up, they travel to Cincinnati to face the Bearcats on Sunday.
Men’s Soccer
The men’s program also kicked off their season last night, during the Fairfield Inn by Marriott JMU Invitational, breaking even against Kansas City, 2-2.
