Gobbler Country collects the goings-on of the many Virginia Tech athletic efforts.
Women’s Basketball: After enduring their own five game skid the ladies devastated UVa on Sunday, 66-46, and returned to better form. They’ve had a brutal stretch that included the No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the No. 17 Miami-Florida Hurricanes, and the No. 11 Florida State Seminoles.Currently the Hokies sit at 15-8 overall and 3-7 in the ACC.Next up they face the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Wrestling: The No. 10 Hokies defeated the No. 17 Pittsburgh Panthers this past Friday before crushing the Edinboro Fighting Scots on Sunday.
