BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - First-team All-American Hanna Green concluded competition for the Virginia Tech track & field team at the NCAA Indoor Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Saturday afternoon.
Green led from the get-go in the 800 meters final, earning the start in lane one. However, Oregon’s Raevyn Rogers saved her kick for the remaining 100 meters to take the championship crown.
Green earned the Hokies their fourth All-America honors at the 2016 Championships with her second place finish in 2:05.90, also marking the best finish of Tech’s middle-dance runners at the Championship meet.
