After opening the 2025 season in Atlanta and suffering a 24-11 loss to South Carolina, the Virginia Tech football team returns home to Blacksburg and has a short week ahead of a matchup with another SEC school, Vanderbilt. It's one thing to play on a Sunday to open the season, then it's another to have to face another SEC school on short rest.
