BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech head football coach Justin Fuente announced Wednesday the program has signed a junior college player to a national letter-of-intent (NLI) during the junior college Signing Day. Fuente, who takes over the Hokies’ reigns after the Independence Bowl, officially signed his first commit at Tech, as the program welcomes quarterback Jérod Evans.
Evans, rated as the nation’s No. 1 junior college dual-threat quarterback nationally by 247Sports and the No. 4 overall junior college prospect, is 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds.
