The Chick-fil-A Bowl and the Virginia Tech Hokies are well acquainted. The Hokies have played in the bowl game in 2009, with the Hokies defeating the Tennessee Volunteers. The bowl game does charity work year round, with one of the main events being the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf event. The tournament is in its 10th year, and Frank Beamer is no stranger in this star studded spectacle. The tournament pairs college coaches and a famous alum for a scramble type shootout. In previous years Beamer partnered with former Hokie legend Dell Curry. This year Beamer will be paired with former QB and Salem native Cam Young.
