Frank Beamer to Retire at the end of the Season

Frank Beamer, the head coach of the Virginia Tech Hokies football team, has reportedly announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2015 season. Frank Beamer has been the HC at VPI for the last 29 seasons, and is currently the winningest active FBS coach in the NCAA, holding a record 234-12-2.

During his tenure Coach Beamer has lead the Hokies to substantial success. In 1999 he engineered the Hokies to an undefeated regular season and an appearance in the 1999 BCS Championship game. Additionally he saw the Hokies through eight consecutive ten win seasons from 2004 - 2011.
