Former Virginia Tech star backing up a pre-training camp comment

After being selected by the Washington Commanders in the NFL Draft in April, former Virginia Tech wide receiver has been turning heads. Entering his first full training camp, the former Middle Tennessee State transfer is looking to make a name for himself and on the 53-man roster when the season opens in September.

According to Sean Robertson of CBS 6 Sports, Lane wants to "Dominate in his role!" Well, after the first few days, it's safe to say that he is backing up his words.

Lane is looking to contribute in multiple ways for the Commanders this upcoming season, at wide receiver and returning punts, something he did very well for the Hokies in 2024 after Tucker Holloway was ruled out for the year with an injury.
